Here are some memorable comments emailed in regarding "BOLLARD CENTRAL".
• Thanks Phil,
• I am a weary veteran of the Church Point car park saga – in the difficult position of being a Scotland Island resident who wants to be able to get home, but who is appalled by the approved two-level car park proposed for the waterfront past the shop. Have you followed that car park issue at all? By the way, could you tell me which %ile vehicle the Mona Vale car park is designed for?
• Enjoyed your discernment of the "bollards", I have avoided travelling to the new car park as it seems unfriendly. It seems that it is overkill with the Bollards but I can understand that it is for the protection of the building not the cars or the people! Good LUCK
• Looks like the council carpark is keeping you busy.
• Well done Phil
• I reckon a merger with Warringah might air em out. Thanks Phil.
• You make some very good points, but you missed a far greater issue - and that is pedestrian safety.
• Just had a good look at "BATTLE OF THE BOLLARDS", all I can say is I like your work, keep the pressure on! It would be interesting to know if PC WAS the certifier!
• I note that the top story on a Saturday afternoon has become a playground for skateboards.
• I don’t understand, Phil, how this farrago of errors has cost over 7 mil. Have you got any printable ideas? Thanks for all your work.
• Phil, this disaster should be turned into a documentary for 4 Corners. It would be cautionary for all would-be local councillors and have a hilarious, farcical side to it as well. The whole country should see the blocked off path to the PO, the un-flashed walls, the waterways through the building, the NO toilets, no lifts, no ramps to the upper levels, Finally, someone should be able to explain where the money went. The story is side-splitting for ineptitude, bungling, squandering, and general faffing around. May I forward your blog to 4 Corners? I’d love to see the interview with the Mayor.
• We all have silly things that Council seems to build and present to us. It would only get worse when the Councils get bigger.
• Doesn't worry me,''''''' No car, dammit!!!
• Hi Phil, good on you for doing all this work. so much we have to tolerate design deficiencies, and the public user is really at the mercy of the 'authorities' - likely often as not being fined for resultant ridiculous infringements.
• Thanks Phil,
