3 COUNCILLORS ELECTED TO REPRESENT
THE PITTWATER WARD
IN THE NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL
KYLIE FERGUSON ALEX McTAGGART IAN WHITE
It will come as a disappointment to many residents that these three ex. Pittwater Councillors have been re-elected. It was, after all, precisely these three people who sold the residents out.
It was their block vote that contributed to Pittwater Council being dismissed and now Amalgamated with Warringah and Manly Councils.
Under the Amalgamation it is solely these three Councillors who now represent the new Pittwater Ward.
Had these 3 Councillors voted with fellow Councillors Bob Grace, Sue Young, Julie Hegarty and Selena Griffith to start a legal challenge to fight forced amalgamations in the Courts, we would still have our own Pittwater Council.
These Councils did just that and are now not amalgamated: Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield; Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai; Hunters Hill, Lane Cove and Ryde; Mosman, North Sydney and Willoughby; and Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra.
Do these 3 people now deserve to represent residents of the Pittwater Ward of the new Northern Beaches Council (The MEGA Council we had to have) ?
On-Line Comment 21/09/2017 - How depressing, the councillors who should take the responsibility for the break up have now been re elected. I'm checking the prices in Rooty Hill.
