Speakers will outline financial and other problems with the Northern Beaches amalgamation and discuss the proposal to reinstate Pittwater Council within its former boundaries.

Arrangements for the presentation – including a bus for transport to the city – will be discussed at the community forum.

These videos give an unprecedented insight into how Pittwater’s elected council was destroyed, who did it, the grounds on which it was done and how the community can now get its council back.
Speakers include Miranda Korzy Chair, Bob Grace Protect Pittwater President, Brian Halstead Save Our Councils President, Phil Jenkyn OAM Save Our Councils spokesman, David Shoebridge MLC Greens Local Government spokesman, Peter Primrose MLC Labor Shadow Minister for Local Government, and speakers from the floor Vincent De Luca OAM Northern Beaches Councillor, John Grant, Shirley Phelps, Sue Martin, Barrie Unsworth former Premier, and Carolyn Corrigan Mayor of Mosman.
A unanimous resolution was passed by the large crowd that filled the Pittwater RSL Auditorium:

PROTEST DAY OUTSIDE STATE PARLIAMENT HOUSE
14 FEBRUARY 2018
Bring back Protect Pittwater advocates joined Tumbarumba residents who hired a bus and took a Valentine's Day message to the State Government on 14 February 2018 - they want a "divorce" from their forced council marriage.
Plenty of notice and six hours travel to Sydney and back for the Tumbarumba residents - but neither the Premier Gladys Berejiklian nor Local Government Minister Gabrielle Upton had time to meet with the protestors.
Instead all they could do was hand over their de-amalgamation proposal, with hundreds of signatures, to the minister's chief of staff.
Protect Pittwater members were there to support them - along with politicians from all parties except the Liberals.
