JASON ON THE LINE
JASON Falinski called me, urging me to vote Liberal at the next election.
Well, it wasn't exactly Jason, but an unsolicited, prerecorded telephone message.
Interestingly, but not surprisingly, I've recently emailed Mr Falinski on a number of occasions on contentious issues like asylum seekers and the proposed move of the Australian embassy in Israel, and have had no response apart from the automatically generated, "Thanks for your email, I'll get back to you" nonsense.
Sure, politicians are busy, aren't we all?. But where is the connection with constituents?
Where is the basic, common courtesy of responding to valid questions from concerned citizens?
Jason takes the time to prerecord a message that most people will hang up on but can't find five minutes to respond to emails from people he purports to represent.
Disappointing and unmannerly.
